Andy Parkinson

Euphonium, Trumpet and Brass.

Andy started playing trumpet at the age of 12 and played a number of brass instruments in the following years. He decided to settle on the Euphonium as his specialist brass instrument throughout most of his 35 years of playing.

Highlights of Andy’s brass career include playing with the West of England’s number one brass band (The Flowers Band of Gloucester) for 5 years. He performed three times at the Royal Albert Hall, twice at the British Open Brass Band Championships at Symphony Hall in Birmingham and five times at the All England Masters National Contest.

Andy has featured in CD & Studio recordings for the BBC Radio 2 broadcasts with the band.

Andy runs a number of toddler and junior indoor football centres across Somerset full time.

He is now bringing his teaching and coaching expertise to brass instrument learners at The Music Makers Academy.
