Flute, Piccolo and Recorders.

Louise has been playing the flute and recorder since she was 7 years old and is an Associate of Trinity College London with a distinction in flute performance.

As well as working for The Music Makers Academy, she works at an independent school near Bristol, at an academy school near Burnham on Sea and from her music studio at home. She has 100% pass rate in exams with most students achieving distinctions and high merits.

Louise is also a professional performing musician as a solo artist, as a duo with pianist Joshua Brown and with an award winning recorder consort that plays regularly at Bishops Palace in Wells.

She is happy to tutor beginners, returner players and advanced level students on flute and recorder, and beginner level on piano. Her aim is to provide students with enjoyable and progressive lessons. Louise believes in a positive and encouraging teaching style to bring out the best in her students. She is happy to tutor adults and children over the age of 7. Louise plays a wide variety of music styles so she is able to cater for most tastes in music.

Louise is also an experienced conductor and conducts a school orchestra and various small ensembles. She is also a member of the Musicians’ Union and the Society of Recorder Players.
